How to create Active Directory in windows

Requirement for install Domain Controller.
Operating system: MS-Server 2003 /2008
Partition : NTFS partition with enough free space.
Properly configured DNS and TCP/IP settings.
Computer must be connected properly (physically and logically) to other computers.
Windows 2003 /2008 server source CD.
Configuration of Active directory
- In Run type dcpromo and click OK
This will open the following window , click Next button

Then in next window ,there you will see two selection option .In these two option you have to select Domain controller for a new Domain and click Next
In this window you have to select Domain in a new forest and click Next
IN this window, give the full DNS name for new domain that should be a fully qualified domain name, and click next button

In these page will show the NetBIOS Name and click Next
On the next “Database and Log Folders” page, you can change the location of active directory database folder and Log folder also. For best performance, store these folders on separate partition or hard disks. Click Next for default setting.
Now wizard will show you the path of “Shared system Volume folder location”, you should not change its default path. Click Next for default setting

In these page you will see three option In this three option select,second option “Install and Configure the DNS Server” and click Next button

On this page select the option “Permissions compatible only with 2000 or Window sever 2003 operating systems” and again click Next

This page show “Directory Services Restore Mode Administrator Password” and give “Restore Mode Password”, if you want otherwise leave this empty and click Next
Click Next on Summary page, after this active directory service will be start to install
After complete the wizard, Restart your computer to save settings…
